Okay, as promised, here are some updated grass pics. We had a close call with a slight sprinkler malfunction (user error...) and I wasn't sure if it was going to make it. I was devastated. But all is well. I guess we am going to have to start shopping for a lawn mower pretty soon!

Let There Be Grass- - - and Facepaint
Yeah Yeah, so goes the ongoing landscaping battle. By now we all know my life has been consumed with putting in a yard ALL summer which results in some pretty lackluster blogs. But finally I think we have reached a turning point! After days of toiling and meticulously (or obsessively, you decide) massaging a very detailed sprinkler schedule and a lot of time on the driveway G.I. Joe style searching for ANY sign of life; I am finally seeing tangible progress. Yesterday I got home to find my topsoil growing little sparatic strands of green baby hair! Oh I think it was one of the happiest moments of my adult life. Sad, I know. Anyway we seeded the yard 6 days ago and still have a ways to go. I am SO excited for Aaron to come home Friday so I can show him, and he will pretend to be as enthusiastic about it as I am! I will keep updating the grass scene so stay tuned! (I know you are all sitting on the edge of your seat for this... pffft.)
The dogs are a bit confused considering we just trained them to stay ON our lot, and now they are forced to stay OFF our lot completely. So to let them run off some energy Sunday we ended up at the park. Aaron and I took some paints which we quickly were bored of so Aaron began using Finn as his canvas. The best part is that Finn LOVED it. Nothing a quick dip in the stream couldn't fix. Of course Alta wanted nothing to do with it.

But What KIND of Medicine???
I figured no blog of mine would be complete without a tribute to good old Snoop Dogg. For those who know me, there are really only 2 kinds of music I like - Country and Snoop Dogg. (Well, 3 if you count the WuTang but that's another blog.) Well, luckily for ME my two favorite types of music recently merged in what I consider one of the most obvious music events of the summer...
(Drum Roll Please...)
A duet "My Medicine" by Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg. It just doesn't get much better than that folks. I especially love Snoop wearing sporting a cowboy hat. Check out the video below.
A special thanks to Whitney for sending me the picture of Snoop in his bandana outfit.
