Ragnar 2010

I DID IT!  And it was A-MAZ-ING.

One of the best experiences of my life.

191 Miles - 30 continuous hours - running through some of the most beautiful country on earth.

I have trained for this race for months, had ups and downs, and in the end, far exceeded even my own expectations.  I even waterskiied the following morning.

My team was incredible.  They were flawless runners and even better support when I was on the pavement.  There was never a dull moment in the van (how could there be with Sue and Sparky?) and the most sore part of my body after the race was my stomach muscles from laughing too much.

And that's exactly the way it should be.

Things I could not have done it without:
My mom (who was the strongest runner on our team)
Shot Blocks
Support from my friends and family (esp. Aaron, my dad, and Whit)
Bottles of ice water consistently poured over my  head
The twangy country remake version of "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" on my teammates iPod after mine failed and had to switch out mid-8-mile stretch in a panic

The best way I can describe the weekend is like Christmas for a kid... you look forward to it for months, the excitement and anticipation builds and builds, then all of the sudden it's over.  And you have to wait a whole year for it to be here again.  :(

Holy cow, you look GOOD! Which I'm sorry, is just not fair. But good for you! The RAGNAR is what sparked my interest in racing and I still haven't been able to do it so I'm so glad to see your post about it

You are the GNNNNNNARLY-est! I could never do that, and don't ever plan on it. Seriously, you run? It's a little bit lame, but a lot bit cool ;) So proud of you!
